We have had a busy year and here are a few highlights of some of the work the children have been doing across all the clubs!

craft club

Our little crafters have also been super creative. Their fabric picture stories were the highlight of the term! We were inspired by the story quilts of Faith Ringgold. Here are a few highlights . .

Craft Club is getting ready for summer!

last term the children at craft club made wonderful skirts, tops and dresses! they were so pleased with their new clothes, some of them even wore them home!!

sewing club bags it!

this term we have been working on making drawstring bags with our older sewing club. these girls have been coming a far while, and their skills were sure put to the test!! first they appliqued their initial onto coloured felt, along with doing some embroidery. using our sewing machines, they sewed their piece onto their chosen fabric. finally with a little bit of guidance, they then made up the bags! a great job all round!!

it's been quiet . ..

hello all! we apologise for the silence here on blogland! it's been a crazy busy half year with new classes and all the planning involved.

well here we are a new year and a new craft class at harrow arts centre. it will run every saturday 9.45-10.45am. if you are interested please contact Kam on 07946 055 422.

in the meantime here's a little project we did towards the end of last year - making our own journals as well as creating some funky character drawings.
