summer is going . . .

today was the first day i felt the need to put my socks back on after a summer in flipflops! there is definitely a chill in the air.

we are back to work next week with all the workshops starting. we have some lovely projects planned to see us through to the end of the year . . . and then in January we start the ART CLUB! exciting times!

until then, i am going to share some photo's from around my garden . . . my children have been working on some woodcarving - so proud of their efforts, along with some dream catchers we made at Family Camp (at Amaravati Buddhist Temple), some drawings on the shed and some flowers and veg the children grew this summer . . . enjoy! xx

Summer Camp - Day Four

was the BEST day. the children did fabric dying and it was sooo much fun! they did tye 'n' dye and dip dying. the photo's speak for themselves i think! kam made the dyes using vegetables - red cabbage, red onion and tumeric - and they worked a treat!

whilst we were waiting for the dyes to work (about 4 hours in buckets, placed in a sunny spot) we made some mice. a lovely lady came in on the monday session and donated loads of bits and pieces, including 16 shoulder pads which we turned into the mice! it was such a fun day!!
