summer camp 2013 - day one

all the planning and now it's all over! it's been an amazing week.

we started the week with applique onto a t-shirt . . . .

craft club breaks up for the summer . . .

but roll on SUMMER CAMP! we have got plans pretty much finalised. the days are full to bursting point with eager children, ready to have some creative fun! we can't wait!!

craft club made a memory game to keep them entertained over the long summer holidays - they are gorgeous! we also made them a little bag to keep them safe. here are a few for you to see . . .

the children have been working on some mixed media canvases this term . . . and what gorgeous result, I wanted to keep tham all for myself!

getting ready for fathers day

fathers day is this sunday, so for the last few weeks at Craft Club we have been decorating terracotta pots and planting. here are some photos of the great fathers day gifts the children made . . .

Lichtenstein comes to harrow arts centre!

last term we based our class on the work of Roy Lichtenstein. there is a wonderful exhibition on at the Tate Modern at the moment and we felt it an ideal opportunity for the children to learn about his work. I think they have such an amazing job with their paintings!

this term we are looking at Lowry - who is also exhibiting at the Tate in June.
